Black and white endpapers and twelve full-color plates by John R. Neill, without captions. Light rubbing to extremities. A fairly early copy in the first state print run, as later copies of the first state showed type damage to a six-line swathe near the top of p.150 - two words only, slightly lighter than those surrounding . Clean and tight. A lovely copy of one of the first posthumously issued OZ books, sadly issued before the author would get to see the rising post-war success of his wonder-filled tales. Very Good.
