Ivy Kellerman Reed [1877-1968] was a noted linguist and early ardent promoter of esperanto, conceived as a universal language. She, along with Ralph A. Lewin, created an esperanto translation of "Winnie-the-Pooh", and a translation of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" which were performed at the World Esperanto Conference in Washington D.C.
