Spine with five raised bands, ruled in gilt; contrasting (red) spine label. Several diagrams (most in Chapter XIII), and side notes throughout. One or two contemporary marginalia and a very few instances of light pencil underlining (p. 157). [48], 312, 136, [3].

Digby corroborated the theories of Harvey on blood circulation and countered Descarte's objections to the conclusions.
