Top edge gilt, fore-edge and bottom edge untrimmed. Light to moderate rubbing to extremities/corners. Insignificant binder's error to pp. 346-348, showing a 3-inch chip to bottom margins of the two leaves. Mounted frontis image, with offset to next leaf. Eleven more mounted black and white woodcuts by artist Leighton, 484 pp. Book housed in sturdy thick board slipcase, covered in stone-marbled paper of yellow and orange, over light-and-dark grey, speckled white and beige.
