Three title pages, the first of which reads: "THE ANCIENT MUSIC OF IRELAND DEDICATED BY PERMISSION TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN" (the Second, as above). This first title page an elaborate four-color central rectangle surrounded by Irish harps and harpers, the hound and the unicorn, and while spotted, and bearing a manuscript dedication to top left, is simply lovely! The third, at the beginning of the musical notation section (following page 100)

The Dedication page reads: "To the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, This Collection of the Ancient Music of Ireland. That part of Her Majesty's Dominions which, from the earliest ages, has been pre-eminent in the originality and purity of its native melodies, is, by Her Majesty's Most Gracious Permission, Dedicated, by Her Majesty's Most Dutiful and Grateful Subject and Servant, Edward Bunting". At the top of the page is the elaborately blackletter-printed name of the owner. P. ?. Maxwell. followed by the date Febr. 17, 1841.
